Calumet Mounds

    According to various sources, including the park brochure, this group consists of 6 mounds. Only 3 are shown on the maps, though.

Of those, 2 panthers (or water spirits) are prominently marked and easy to see along the trail. The third, presumably a panther, has a

marker near playground, but mound itself is impossible to discern since it is hidden in the thicket. I could not find the other three

mounds, either. The panthers out in the open are in good condition, but get mowed with the surrounding lawns.
